SYNOPSIS

A gentle humming in the background, that of the bees, which disturbs and overpowers, but precisely for this reason it can soothe. Alma, a 20-year-old student who suffers from attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), finds concentration through memories of working with her father on apiaries in preparation for the university exam.

Note

RONZIO is the first short film by FilmLab 2024, under the artistic supervision of Silvio Soldini, starring Paolo Briguglia and Beatrice Fiorentini.

The short, made by OffiCine together with IED Milan and in collaboration with Indiana Production, is dedicated to the story of Special Educational Needs. A theme that is very close to IED's heart, which has long activated educational initiatives for support and integration.

Together with director Niccolò Donatini and Mattia Borgonovo, I developed and wrote the screenplay taking inspiration from the stories of some IED students who generously shared their personal experiences.

Film Production Lab

Officine IED

OffiCine escapes from a one-size-fits-all definition: it is not a school, it is not a Production, it is not a cultural club. It is, or would like to be, all these things together: a place of training free from the rigid settings of traditionally understood didactics, a hub of experimentation where film products are brought to life, a network of people who share passion, expertise, commitment, time, in a circular mechanism of learning and personal growth. OffiCine offers in-depth theoretical courses on the different disciplines and roles of cinema, Practical workshops where an idea is developed to the point of producing short films or documentaries, Lectures open to the public, with special guests or dedicated to a cross-reading of themes through cinema. OffiCine, born now 12 years ago, grasps from IED the teaching style based on “know how” and is managed by Labà-Special Projects.
