SYNOPSIS

A couple's drama unfolds in the claustrophobic rooms of their small flat. He measures her every day, diligently noting every slightest change in her body. The trauma survives even after her rebellion.

Note di Regia

"Measurements"is a short dramatic film, the first of a trilogy I am developing on the female body. The topicality and universality of the themes addressed (body shaming, power imbalances in male-female relationships, psychological abuse, eating disorders), both stemming from the experiences of women close to me and derived from my past work as a talent scout in the fashion world, have determined the terms of an urgent sharing.

Selected for development at Sentiero Film Lab 2023

The project was selected for the Sentiero Film Lab Extended 2023 development lab, born within the Sentiero Film Factory international short film festival. At the end of the residency, the project was presented with a public pitch at Manifatture Digitali Cinema in Prato, in collaboration with Toscana Film Commission, with the participation of Read My Script, Flash Future Film and Materiali Sonori Cinema.
